|03/30/2005||We now offer a cheaper alternative to Fed Ex shipping. You can now choose to have your slides shipped by USPS Priority mail. Priority mail only cost $3.85 per envelope (about 150 slides) and takes about 2-3 days. This is a lot cheaper than Fed Ex, especially for residential deliveries.
Why the change? From the beginning, it was always important to us that we had reliable shipping to our customers. We wanted to be able to track the shipment; we wanted to know when it would arrive; and we wanted to be able to get confirmation that it did arrived. We also wanted to ship right from our facility, without having to go to the Post Office or other shipping facility. At the time Fed Ex offered all these advantages at a reasonable price. The Post Office did not. Times have changed. Fed Ex prices have steadily gone up. They have added all sorts of surcharges, such as a $2.00 extra charge for residential deliveries as well as various fuel and remote location charges. Fortunately, things at the Post Office have also changed. We can now generate USPS shipping labels with postage right on the Internet and they offer tracking and delivery confirmation as well - all for a flat rate of $3.85 per "Flat Rate Envelope" (same size as a Fed Ex envelope). We are pleased to pass the savings on to you. Just select "USPS Priority" on the order form.
Of course, for those of you would do need overnight shipping, we continue to offer the Fed Ex shipping - "For when you absolutely, positively need it overnight". The choice is yours.

|04/05/2002||Federal Express has been adjusting its rates with increased frequency recently. They have added a $1.35 surcharge for residential deliveries. They also have a $1.50 surcharge for remote locations. In addition, they have a fuel surcharge that seems to vary between 0.5% and 4.0%, depending on oil prices and other factors. On top of this, it seems they sometimes change their base rates without advanced notice. Consequently we have found it impossible to keep our table of shipping rates posted on this web site up to date. Please use our shipping table only as an approximation.
Our policy has always been to charge the customer only what Federal Express charges us. We don't include a mark up on the shipping. Since we ourselves don't know until shipping time the exact price Federal Express will charge for a given shipment, we can't tell you in advance exactly what your shipping costs will be. We have left the table of shipping rates posted on our web site as an approximation of the actual rates. The actual shipping costs will vary. However, we will not charge you more than the actual shipping cost to us.
You also always have the option to have us ship on your FedEx account by providing us with your FedEx account number when you place your order. Thank you for your understanding.

|03/13/2001||Some of our customers have reported a problem uploading files with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Instead of uploading a file, it seems Internet Explorer will sometimes just open the file. We have traced this problem to a setting under Internet Options. If you have this problem, go to Internet Options, either from within Internet Explorer under Tools, or from the Control Panel under Settings on the Window Start Menu. In Internet Options, go to the Advanced tab and find the last option in the section called Browsing. That option is labeled "Use Web Based FTP". That option should not be marked. If it is marked, unmark it and that should solve the problem. (If that option is not listed at all, it may be that your company has a firewall that prevents any FTP uploading at all, regardless of what browser you are using. In that case you need to talk to your company's computer support for instructions on how to do an FTP upload.)|

|03/02/2000||File transfer (uploading) instructions for Internet Explorer 5.0 users have been added to the File Transfer Instructions section.|
|02/24/2000||Large file handling charges have been reduced and simplified. Charges have been reduced and simplified by combining large file transfer charges with large slide imaging charges and by granting a larger size allowance for jobs with a larger number of slides.
You are now allowed 1 meg for every 10 slides in your job. If your job exceeds this size allowance, there is a surcharge of $1/meg for that portion that exceeds the allowance. This is true whether your job consists of one file or more than one file. For jobs consisting of more than one file, the job size is the sum of the sizes of the individual files. The same surcharge applies whether the files are uploaded over the Internet or submitted on disk.
There is no longer a separate slide imaging charge based on print file size. Although the print file size was an accurate measure of resource utilization, it did not provide clients with a convenient way to anticipate extra charges and plan accordingly. The new formula will make it easier for you to gauge the size of images and the cost of your job. While the new formula will generally result in smaller surcharges, we still encourage you to keep slides at a reasonable size so we can keep costs down and serve more customers in less time. For a more detailed discussion, see Bitmaps and Large File Issues.

We have reduced the large file transfer charges and the large slide imaging charges from $2/500K and $1/500K to $0.10/100K and $0.10/100K respectively. Although we have reduced these charges, we will be more strict about enforcing them to conserve resources (memory, disk space, machine time, and personnel time) and to more fairly allocate the costs of these resources to the jobs that utilize them. Please review the section on Bitmaps and Large Files if your slides contain large bitmaps.|

If you are using Netscape, you can simply click on "Upload Here" from the main page.|
